Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you book through one, the provider pays us a small commission. It does not change your price and it does not change the verdict on the page.

The booking cards on this site point to GetYourGuide, TripAdvisor, Booking.com and a handful of other travel providers such as GetTransfer, TourRadar and SafetyWing. When one of those carries an affiliate arrangement, the link is tagged so the sale is attributed to us. You pay exactly what you would have paid going to the provider directly.

No provider pays for placement or for a better verdict here. When a page tells you to tap a contactless card and skip the ¥2,500 tourist pass, or to walk the temple circuit for free, that is the recommendation even though the free answer earns us nothing and a tour would. The commission follows the honest answer; it does not set it.

Review counts and star ratings shown on booking cards are the provider’s own figures, attributed to them on the card. We never publish an aggregate rating of our own and never add one to the site’s structured data.
